The Douglas A-26 Invader was the best WWII American twin-engine bomber produced. It had high flight data and carried powerful weapons. It was produced from 1942-1945. There were 1355 A-26B aircraft with solid nose (6-8 12,7 mm Browning MG) and 1091 A-26C aircraft with glassed nose for the bomber navigator.
In 1948-1966 A-26 Invader had designation B-26. This aircraft took part in the Korean War (1950-1953). They were used from the first to the last days of this war for attack the advanced positions of the enemy, railways and highways.
