Ka-29 Helix-B was an assault-transport carrier-base helicopter design by Russia. The project was started in 1973, used Ka-27 ship-born helicopter as a basis for the project, and the first flight on July 28, 1976, by test pilot E.I.Laryushin. The State acceptance trials were completed in May 1979. Series production started in 1984.
