This Sunshine Models HO scale resin kit represents the Baltimore & Ohio Railroads distinctive M-53 Wagontop boxcar. The B&Os Wagontop cars were uniquely designed with a rounded, wagon-top roof and sides to increase structural strength and interior capacity, making them some of the most recognizable freight cars in North American railroading. The M-53 class saw service into the postwar era, handling general merchandise across the B&O system.
This craftsman-level resin kit includes finely cast body components with accurate rivet detail, separate detail parts, and correct proportions true to the prototype. Intended for experienced modelers, it offers an excellent platform for custom painting, lettering, and weathering.
