Built as one of three Katori-class training cruisers to train naval cadets, Kashima also took on anti-submarine duties during wartime, serving until the end of the war. This kit replicates the late-war version of Kashima, featuring additional high-angle guns and numerous single-mount machine guns along both sides of the hull.
