Two German armored divisions forming part of the German 10th Army attacked through the Czstochowa gap directly at Warsaw, cutting off the d Army and Pomerania from the Vistula line. The biggest battle took place near Piotrkw Trybunalski, where the Germans smashed the Polish 19th Infantry Division, and near Tomaszw Mazowiecki, where the Polish 13th Infantry Division was destroyed.
